Role Overview:
As Director of Logistics, you’ll lead the charge in refining and executing Ryan Bros.’ logistics strategy. This is a high-impact role, blending hands-on operational oversight with strategic planning to keep our fleet running efficiently and safely. You’ll work closely with the leadership team to drive innovation, optimize performance, and ensure we remain a trusted name in trucking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-Day Dispatch:
  
  • Coordinate and assign driver schedules across irregular routes in Wyoming, Montana, and beyond.
  • Solve real-time logistical challenges (e.g., delays, customer changes).
  • Communicate with drivers, customers, and the leadership team to ensure freight is delivered on time.
• Strategic Logistics Management:
  
  • Analyze fleet utilization and develop strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Evaluate customer needs and ensure services align with long-term profitability and goals.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in dispatch and logistics systems.
• Customer and Driver Relations:
  
  • Maintain and grow key customer relationships by ensuring smooth operations and proactive communication.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to drivers.
• Operational Support:
  
  • Generate reports on fleet performance and key metrics.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support business development and identify growth opportunities.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years in logistics, dispatch, operations, or related fields. Experience in trucking or irregular route logistics preferred.
• Skills:
  
  • Strong communication and relationship management.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage day-to-day operations while thinking strategically.
• Personality: Self-motivated, organized, and thrives in both hands-on and leadership roles.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred, but equivalent experience is acceptable.
